Suzuki is continuing to deliver on its promise of bringing exceptional value to the market, with further price reductions across its range. Over the last 12 months Suzuki has cut the OTR prices of 13 models in its lineup, with the GSX-S1000GX+ reduced by a sizeable 2,900 over that time.

The GSX-S1000GT+ has had another 1,000 taken off its price  taking its total price reduction over the last year to 2,000  dropping it to 11,999 OTR, with the GSX-S1000GX+  complete with its semi-active suspension, new winglets, and 36-litre panniers  is just 12,999.

Suzukis GSX-8T and GSX-8TT retros  built on the firms award-winning new 800cc platform  have seen 1,000 cut from their prices, dropping them to 8,599 and 8,999 respectively.

Theres good news for learner riders or those looking for commuting solutions in the city, with the GSX-S and GSX-R125 machines both now 3,999, a reduction of 1,000 and 1,200.

The reductions follow the announcement of Suzukis recent pricing realignment of its scooter range, with the retro-styled Address 125 only 2,099, which represents exceptional value, especially with the addition of Suzukis 10-year-warranty. Suzuki also recently lowered the prices of its 800RE and 800DE V-Stroms, which are now 9,499 and 9,999.

Over the last year Suzuki has also lowered the prices of its GSX-S1000, Katana, Burgman Street 125EX, and Avenis 125.

Suzuki GB head of motorcycles, Jonathan Martin, said, Over the last year weve been listening closely to our dealer partners and working in conjunction with our colleagues in Japan to realign pricing across a number of models in the range. Our recent price changes reaffirm our commitment to providing value for customers, and will allow more riders to experience the quality, performance, and fun that Suzuki is synonymous with. Add to that our reputation for bullet-proof reliability and a 10-year-warranty scheme, and an extensive dealer support network, and I think its hard to find another brand that can compete with the claim that Suzuki is offering the most value for customers on the market right now.

As well as the savings on the list prices of a number of models in the range, Suzuki GB has also announced the extension of its low-rate, 1.9% APR finance deal, which is available over four years with a minimum 1,000 deposit, on both PCP and HP agreements.

As part of the offer, the 10,999 GSX-S1000 can be had for 95 per month on a four-year PCP deal, with a 1,971.20 deposit. Also included are the V-Strom 1050RE and 1050DE machines.

        Suzuki has launched two sporty new graphics kit options for its GSX-S1000 and GSX-8S models.

Available from 160 for the 8S and 250 for the GSX-S1000, excluding fitting, the kits can be purchased from authorised Suzuki dealerships at point of sale or retrospectively, for existing customers that want to add something extra to their machines.

On the GSX-S1000 the wrap adds bold Suzuki branding to the side of the tank and radiator shrouds, with lines that flow from the seat unit to the front mudguard. The 8S sticker kit employs the same effect as the models own logo design, with broken chevrons running along the seat, tank, and side panels.

The 10,999 GSX-S1000 is currently available on a low-rate finance offer of 1.9% APR over a three-year PCP or HP deal. Buyers of the 8S will benefit from a 300 dealer deposit contribution, reducing the OTR price to just 7,999. Both come on Suzukis up-to-10-year-warranty scheme.

        Suzuki has announced a fresh round of price reductions across its 125cc scooter range as part of a continued pricing realignment aimed at delivering even better value for customers.

The retro-styled Address 125 now starts from just 2,099 OTR, representing a 900 saving compared with this time last year. The sportier Avenis 125 has been reduced to 2,249, while the premium-focused Burgman Street 125EX is now priced at 2,499  a 700 cut on its previous figure.

Suzuki GBs head of motorcycles, Jonathan Martin, said the pricing adjustments reflect the brands ongoing focus on value, working across the supply chain to ensure customers benefit from competitive pricing without compromising on the levels of quality, reliability and service associated with Suzuki.

    <title>Suzuki shows new colours at MCL</title>

        Suzuki has announced a suite of new colour options for its GSX-8R and V-Strom 1050RE machines, which are currently on display at MCL.

The award-winning 8R will continue to be available in Suzukis trademark Metallic Triton Blue in 2026, but the existing grey wheels are swapped for racier black ones. A new white version joins the ranks, offset by blue decals and wheels, and a metallic matt black option sports red graphics and wheels.

The V-Strom 1050RE  the road explorer in Suzukis V-Strom 1050 range, alongside the 1050DE dual explorer  also gets a trio of new colour schemes. Theres a grey version with black and red decals and dark red wheels, and an all-black iteration. The stand-out colour joining the range for 2026 is a Matt Steel Green with matt black panels on the tank and black wheels.

The 8R and V-Strom 1050RE models are on display on the Suzuki stand at MCL, which runs from 15-23 November at the NEC in Birmingham.

        Suzuki has announced a new special edition Hayabusa for 2026.

The Hayabusa special edition comes in a striking Pearl Vigor Blue with contrasting white trim, accents, and decals, including a bold kanji symbol on the fairing. An embossed Suzuki logo on the tank also contrasts the blue paint scheme.

The twin stainless steel exhausts are finished with black tips, and a seat cowl comes as standard.

The Hayabusa special edition uses the same legendary 1340cc inline four-cylinder powerplant as the standard Hayabusa, and a comprehensive electronics package that includes a six-axis IMU governing ABS, traction control, and anti-wheelie systems, plus launch, control cruise control, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

        Suzuki has confirmed that the GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition will come with an OTR price of 17,599 when it arrives in the spring of 2026.

Announced earlier in 2025  the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R range  the new GSX-R1000R gets an updated engine, with modifications that include a new crankshaft, crankcases, pistons, connecting rods, and a higher compression ratio. The MotoGP-derived variable valve timing system remains.

Theres also a new exhaust, an updated suite of electronics, and winglets that increase downforce at higher speeds. The changes mean the new engine meets Euro5+ emissions standards and boasts a higher performance ceiling, too.

An electronics package comprises an IMU-governed traction control and roll torque control system and ABS system. Theres launch control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and selectable power modes.

The new GSX-R1000R will be on display at MCL 2025, which gets underway tomorrow, Saturday 15 November, at the NEC in Birmingham. It will bookend a special display of GSX-R machinery, with a 1985 GSX-R750F at the other end. Bikes in the middle will include a GSX-R750 SRAD and the revered GSX-R1000 K5.

Also on display will be the GSX-R1000R endurance racer from Yoshimura SERT, the team that won the 2024 Endurance World Championship  making it 15 world titles for the GSX-R1000  and this years Bol dOr.

    <title>Suzuki reveals SV-7GX at Eicma</title>

        Suzuki has revealed a new SV-7GX, which was unveiled today at Eicma in Milan, Italy. The covers were also pulled off an updated GSX-S1000GX.

The SV-7GX uses an updated version of Suzukis proven  and somewhat legendary  645cc V-twin engine, which is now fully-compliant with the latest Euro5+ emissions regulations. Peak power is 73PS and peak torque is 64Nm. Aiding efficiency and performance is a new magneto, transmission gears, airbox, a ride-by-wire throttle, and a new exhaust system.

As the GX suffix suggests, the SV-7GX will provide a middleweight sports crossover option in the Suzuki lineup, alongside the range-topping GSX-S1000GX.

A steel trellis frame is equipped with suspension from KYB, which provides a plush ride quality designed to make it easy to cover distance in comfort on the 7GX. The seat height remains accessible for a multitude of riders at 795mm. Wheels are new cast aluminium 17, front and rear, and are shod with Pirelli Angel GT 2 tyres. They work with the chassis to provide the sport element to the new sports crossover. Tokico calipers and twin 290mm discs provide the stopping power.

Tall, wide, tapered aluminium bars provide an upright and comfortable riding position, but place weight over the front tyre enough to generate feel and allow riders to enjoy the sporty side of the 7GX when away from the motorway or dual carriageways. Handguards come as standard.

On the electronics side, smartphone connectivity comes as standard and allows riders to access everything from maps to contacts and messages from intuitive switchgear on the left handlebar. All information is displayed via a colour TFT screen, which also indicates the selected throttle map, with three to choose from, as well as the chosen traction control setting, also with three to choose from, as well as off. Theres a USB-C charging port on the left hand side. The electronics package also includes a standard-fit bi-directional quickshifter for seamless up and down gear changes.

Wind-tunnel tested bodywork shields the rider from the worst of the elements and provides aerodynamic efficiency, with styling cues taken from the bigger GSX-S1000GX. Theres a 17.4-litre fuel tank. Lighting is full LED all round, with a new asaerial design at the front for improved illumination and visibility while cornering.

An accessories catalogue includes a 45-litre top box, soft panniers, tank bags, and heated grips.

Pricing for the SV-7GX will be announced in due course, with the arrival set for late summer, 2026.

    
        
    
        Suzuki has also announced updates to the GSX-S1000GX. 

The ultimate sports crossover model  which was revealed at Eicma only two years ago  has received a round of subtle updates to further improve its performance as a motorcycle adept at both covering long distances in speed and comfort, as well as offering up sporting intentions when the rider wants to enjoy a more twisty, winding route.

A suite of changes includes the addition of new winglets to the GXs fairing, improving downforce and enhancing stability at high speeds. Modifications to the mirror mountings reduce vibrations for clearer rearward visibility.

The GSX-S1000GX puts out 152PS and 106Nm of torque from its 999cc inline four-cylinder engine. A twin-spar aluminium frame and GSX-R-derived swingarm is suspended by semi-active electronic suspension from Showa.

A colour TFT screen shows selected modes of a plethora of rider aids, including seven IMU-governed traction control settings, and the ability to disengage entirely. Those traction control settings are also linked to Suzukis roll torque control system and an anti-wheelie system. Lean-angle sensitive ABS, a bi-directional quickshifter, and cruise control also come as standard, along with smartphone connectivity.

In the UK the GSX-S1000GX will be available solely as a GX+ variant, which means it will come with free 36-litre panniers as standard.

It will arrive in early 2026 with an OTR price of 14,999.

Suzuki also confirmed that the e-Address, first revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi in January this year, will form part of its European model range in 2026, More information will be released in due course.

Sitting alongside the recently updated Address 125 in Suzukis small capacity scooter lineup, the sportily-styled Avenis is now available in a striking bronze and black combination  with a large, race livery-esque Avenis decal running across the side panels  and a more understated all-black.

The luxury Burgman Street 125EX also comes in an all-black, plus a smart, sophisticated matt navy blue, and Pearl Grace White; a stylish off-white.

Both models use the proven Suzuki Eco Performance engine, which has powered over five million scooters worldwide and delivers 8.7PS and 10Nm of peak torque in the Avenis, and 8.6PS in the Burgman, while achieving an impressive 148.67mpg.

Both scooters also boast 21.5 litres of under seat storage space, two helmet hooks, and two utility hooks. Upfront theres a USB charging port in a closable storage compartment.

The Avenis 125 is currently available with an OTR price of 2,599, while the Burgman Street 125EX comes with an OTR price of 2,799.

    <title>Suzuki releases updated Address 125 scooter</title>

        Suzuki GB has announced the release of an updated Address 125 scooter, with a revised engine that produces more peak torque lower down the rev range, courtesy of changes to its camshaft profile and airbox. Theres also a revised frame, which is lighter, new wheels, and a new fuel tank that is both larger and lighter. Practicality is further boosted by an increase in underseat storage space.

Though the bodywork has been restyled, the Address 125 continues to embody classic scooter design. At its heart remains Suzukis Eco Performance engine (SEP), which has a proven track record for both performance and reliability, and already powers over seven million Suzuki scooters, globally.

The newest version meets the latest Euro 5+ emissions standards, achieving 148.6mpg, emitting just 45 g/km of CO. Peak torque increases to 10.2Nm and is now made at 5,000rpm,  compared to 10Nm at 5,500rpm on the previous model  and peak power is 8.4PS, made 250rpm further down the rev range than before, at 6,500rpm, resulting in punchier acceleration performance.

Changes to the camshaft profile improve combustion efficiency and engine performance. Specifically, the intake cam lifts higher to increase the amount of air intake, while the exhaust cam timing was adjusted to minimise overlap. The airbox capacity has also increased 10%, and one of the two exhaust catalytic converters has been eliminated.

Further measures to improve fuel efficiency include the adoption of an electromagnetic steel plate for the stator core, a change in the fuel injector mounting angle, modification of the CVT settings, and a lower idling rpm. The engine starts up more quietly thanks to the change from an overrunning clutch to a roller type one-way clutch, and the crankshaft was revised to accommodate this change.

An updated underbone frame is 1kg lighter than the previous version, and increases torsional rigidity by 25%. The result is contribution to excellent fuel economy, stability, and cornering performance. The modifications to the frame  which also saw the rear suspension pivot point moved higher and further back  also enabled other improvements, such as a larger under seat storage compartment, a larger airbox, and a bigger fuel tank. Despite increasing capacity from five to 5.3 litres, the new fuel tank is 25% lighter.

A combined braking system sees braking force distributed to both the front and rear wheels  with a 190mm disc at the front and a 120mm drum at the rear  when the left brake lever is operated.

Rider and pillion comfort is improved via a new seat and new pillion footpegs which are lighter and 15mm longer. Theres a wide, spacious floorboard for riders to adjust their feet position, and a new steel leg shield extends further to offer protection in case of a drop. Theres also a steel front mudguard.

The unique tail-mounted fuel cap of the previous model remains, but is now concealed via a colour-coded cap, which opens with the ignition key.

Underseat storage space is increased from 21.8 litres to 24.4 litres, and a second inner storage pocket has been added up front, with one housing a USB charging port, and there are two utility hooks to hang bags and two helmet hooks under the seat.

A sidestand and centre stand are standard equipment, and standard security features include a shutter that covers the ignition key hole that is opened by a magnet mechanism coded to the owners key.

Still wearing classic scooter styling, the rectangular headlight has been reshaped and boasts a classy chrome surround, and a new LED, U-shaped position light sits centrally below the Suzuki emblem, and is flanked by two additional LED position lights with integrated indicators. Theres also a U-shaped, LED rear taillight.

    <title>The GSX-R1000R Returns</title>

        Suzuki has announced that the GSX-R1000R will return to the UK. Designed to perform, built to thrill, the GSX-R1000R gets an updated engine to meet Euro5+ regulations whilst maintaining high levels of performance output. Changes include a new crankshaft, crankcases, pistons, connecting rods, and a higher compression ratio. Theres also a new exhaust, an updated suite of electronics, and winglets that increase downforce at higher speeds.

Despite a number of changes made to satisfy the latest emissions standards, the updates to the engine also enhance the GSX-R1000Rs performance potential, making it capable of withstanding the tuning required to compete successfully in premier class endurance, superbike, and superstock racing competitions.

The announcement comes ahead of the prestigious Suzuka 8-Hour endurance race in Japan and the third round of the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship, a championship that the GSX-R1000 has won 15 times since 2001. The announcement also comes as part of this years 40th anniversary celebrations of the GSX-R range, when the GSX-R750F changed the world of sportsbikes forever in 1985. As a result, the GSX-R1000R will come in a trio of colour schemes inspired by classic GSX-R liveries of the past, each adorned with a 40th anniversary logo on the fairing and fuel tank.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Engine

The GSX-R1000Rs 1000cc, inline four-cylinder engine still uses Suzukis MotoGP-developed variable valve timing system. Developed on the firms GSX-RR prototype racer, which won the 2020 MotoGP world championship, the mechanical system is built into the intake cam sprocket and an adjacent guide plate. It uses 12 steel balls and slanted grooves to rotate the sprocket and retard the intake valve timing at a pre-set rpm, boosting high-rpm power without sacrificing midrange and lower-rpm output. It also retains a finger follower valve train, though the shape of the fingers on both the intake and exhaust sides were changed and optimised to match the new cam profile. In addition, the exhaust valve diameter was changed from 24mm to 25mm, plus there are new camshafts and a wider cam chain. Maximum valve lift remains the same, with reduced overlap to help meet emissions targets.

Theres a new fuel pump to increase fuel pressure, and changes to the fuel injectors, with the secondary top feed injector changing from 10 to eight holes to contribute to cleaner emissions. To help maintain power output, new throttle bodies boast a larger bore; up to 48mm from 46mm, while air delivered to the throttle bodies travels through newly designed single-stage funnels, further boosting peak power.

New, forged aluminium pistons have short skirts, cutaway sides and a short, DLC-coated wrist pin to reduce friction. The piston heads were reshaped to increase the compression ratio to 13.8:1 and accommodate the size of the increased exhaust valve diameter. The new pistons contribute to power output, reduced vibration, and durability.

The connecting rods are chrome-molybdenum steel with a carburised surface treatment to increase strength and are designed to enhance reliability when under higher levels of tune for racing.

The crankshaft adopts a new design with thicker journals, increased from 35mm to 37mm, designed to accommodate higher loads and withstand higher levels of tune in racing environments, plus new crankcases were designed in conjunction with the new crankshaft.

As well as being highly attractive and etched with a GSX-R logo, the new exhaust silencer body is more compact, reducing its capacity from 8.3 to 5.5 liters. A larger capacity elliptical catalytic converter in the collector is positioned closer to the engine to facilitate quicker warming, which helps improve its performance.

Peak power is 195PS at 13,200rpm, with peak torque 110.0Nm at 11,000rpm.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Chassis

The new GSX-R1000R uses the same lightweight twin-spar aluminium frame, subframe, and braced aluminium swingarm as the previous version. Suspension comes courtesy of Showa, with its balance free front forks at the front, and a balance free rear shock at the rear, and theres an electronically-controlled steering damper.

At the front, brakes are Brembo monoblock calipers, biting 320mm discs. At the rear sits a single caliper and 220m disc. Theres also a new ABS unit that saves 51 grams over the previous version GSX-R1000R. Lightweight cast aluminium wheels wear Bridgestone BATTLAX RACING STREET RS11 tyres: 120/70ZR17M/ at the front, 190/55ZR17M/C at the rear.

Developed in conjunction with the Suzuki CN Challenge race team, which contested the 2024 Suzuka 8-Hour with an experimental GSX-R1000R, new winglets provide increased downforce at higher speeds, aiding stability and reducing wheelie. Produced in Japan, they are made of dry carbon with a hollow structure, and the size and shape of the winglets were developed through a long process of experimental builds and thorough test runs to achieve the optimum effect without making handling feel heavy.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Electronics

An updated suite of electronics further enhances the GSX-R1000Rs performance potential and allows riders to tailor its character to suit their preferences or riding conditions. Armed with a six direction IMU, the GSX-R1000R gets an updated traction control system that incorporates Suzukis new Roll Torque Control and anti-wheelie, with 10 modes to choose from plus the ability to disengage entirely.

Suzukis Roll Torque Control uses data from the IMU and wheel speed sensors to calculate the bikes lean angle and speed to predetermine what level of power output is optimal. It works in conjunction with the traction control to deliver a sense of stability through the corner. Its benefit is that it works to prevent wheel spin, rather than activate when slip is detected, making for more seamless acceleration and the reduced cutting of power and pumping.

Theres a ride-by-wire throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, lean angle-sensitive ABS and slope-dependent control, launch control, low RPM assist, and Suzukis easy start function.

A new Li-ion HY battEliiy P-series starter battery is more compact and lightweight, and is designed with a focus on exceptional reliability, durability, enhanced startability, and an extended lifespan.

Headlights, positioning lights, and taillights are full LED.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Styling

Three new colour schemes pay homage to classic GSX-R liveries of old, with a classic blue and white take joined by a red and white version and a yellow and matt blue option. Each features a 40th anniversary decal on the fairing and the fuel tank. A retro R logo adorns the bellypan of all three. There are also GSX-R logos on the seat and exhaust silencer, and the magneto and clutch covers are finished in grey.

        Suzuki has launched two brand-new models on its award-winning 800cc platform, with the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT combining retro spirit with next generation performance. The 8T takes styling cues from classic bikes of the 1960s and 1970s, such as the iconic Suzuki T500, while the 8TT builds on that platform further but with inspiration coming from the faired race bikes of the period, such as the legendary Yoshimura GS1000 AMA superbike.



Both models use Suzukis 776cc parallel twin engine with its 270 crankshaft design, which gives it unrivalled drive and lowdown power, while double overhead cams and four valves per cylinder enable a free-revving nature.


The engine is housed in a twin-spar steel frame with a separate lightweight subframe. An electronics suite comprises traction control, power modes, a bi-directional quickshifter, and colour TFT screen.


Both the 8T and 8TT get a new fuel tank, seat, seat unit, and handlebars complete with bar-end mirrors.


The 8T adopts a new round headlight with full LED lighting, blending modern technology with classic styling. The 8TT adds a headlight cowling that shares more than a passing resemblance to vintage road race machinery from the 70s and 80s.



Design
The 8T and 8TTs design brief was to produce two machines that embody the retro spirit of Suzukis heritage and iconic models of past decades. Drawn by designers in Italy and further sculpted in Japan, both models use a new 16.5-litre fuel tank, which connects each side to new radiator shrouds  brushed silver on the 8T and black on the 8TT  adorned with the circular GSX8 logo.

The 8T evokes the charm of classic bikes, and a new circular headlight design with a flat bottom section is further reminiscent of motorcycles of the 70s and 80s, though it is full-LED with a bright, horizontal LED strip across the middle.

Inspired by classic road race machines, the 8TT retains the same headlight unit as its 8T stablemate but wraps it in a cowling that bears a striking resemblance to the GS1000S of the late 1970s. It is fitted with a screen that further completes the look, as well as providing the functional benefit of added weather protection.

New circular bar-end mirrors ensure a sleek and low profile. Their design was refined to ensure visual harmony with the overall silhouette, and special attention was paid to detail, including hand-polishing the parting lines and gate marks of the aluminium die-cast stays. The mirrors offer excellent rearward visibility by minimising interference from the riders body.

Underneath the 776cc parallel twin engine, the 8TT also adopts a lower cowling, further enhancing its racier aesthetic.

A new seat, inspired by the tuck-and-roll seats of the 1960s and 70s slots onto the top of the subframe of the 8T. It features high-density foam cushioning for enhanced comfort and a premium riding experience. Additionally, the shape of the seat front improves ease of mounting and dismounting and provides excellent foot reach.

On the 8TT the seat still ensures a comfortable ride but is finished with a flatter top more reminiscent of race bike seats.

With a matt finish to its black seat unit, brushed radiator shrouds, gold forks, and black wheels, the GSX-8T will be available with a Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Matt Steel Green, or Metallic Matt Black fuel tank.

The 8TT adds more pops of colour and retro racing flair thanks to striped decals on its tank and cowling, with matching wheels. A Glass Sparkle Black variant is offset by red wheels and red and gold decals, while a Pearl Matt Shadow Green version is completed with gold wheels and gold and bronze stripes.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Engine
While retro spirit comes from the styling of the 8T and 8TT, next generation performance is delivered by Suzukis award-winning 776cc parallel twin engine; widely praised for its drive from the bottom end and through its midrange, making it a useable, flexible, and fun powerplant. This character and punchy performance is enhanced by a 270 crankshaft design, helping fire the 8T and 8TT from corner to corner. Peak torque is 78Nm at 6800rpm, and peak power comes in at 82.9PS at 8500rpm.

A cross balancer reduces vibrations and aids in the motors compact design, and a short exhaust muffler keeps the bikes side profile clean and compact while still providing an exciting exhaust note.

Chassis
Both models use the same steel frame and subframe, and aluminium swingarm. They are suspended by upside down KYB forks  gold on the 8T and black on the 8TT  and a KYB rear shock. Wide, tapered aluminium handlebars provide an engaging and comfortable riding position, offering plenty of leverage for steering input. Stopping power comes via twin 310mm discs up front with radially-mounted Nissin calipers, and a 240mm disc at the rear.

Electronics
Sat atop the retro headlight is a fully-modern colour TFT screen, displaying all the information the rider needs, including rev counter, speedo, and gear position indicator, as well as the selected traction control setting  with three available to choose from, plus off  and the chosen power mode from A, B, or C. Making for slick gear changes is a bi-directional quickshifter as standard, plus Suzukis easy-start and low RPM assist systems.

Both models also come with a USB Type-C socket as standard, which also supports fast charging.

Developed by Eliiy Power using advanced energy storage technology, a new, compact, lightweight battery offers reliability, durability, enhanced startability, and long life with minimal self-discharge.

Pricing and availability
The GSX-8T and GSX-8TT will come with an OTR price of 9,599 and 9,999 respectively and will be arriving in dealerships in the coming weeks. Both come with Suzukis standard three-year warranty plus up to seven-years extended warranty, activated by regular servicing at an authorised Suzuki dealership.

        Suzuki GB has announced pricing for the new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM models, which were revealed at Eicma last year. Both the dual-purpose trail bike, the DR-Z4S, and its supermoto stablemate, the DR-Z4SM, will come with an OTR price of 7,999.

Both bikes use a new 398cc single-cylinder engine and a new twin-spar steel frame with a separate, bolt-on aluminium subframe and aluminium swingarm. The DR-Z4S sports 21 and 18 spoked wheels and long-travel suspension from KYB, with 280mm of fork travel, 296mm of rear wheel travel, and 300mm of ground clearance. The SM is equipped with 17 wheels and has 260mm of front suspension travel and 277mm rear wheel travel.

    
        An electronics package comprises three power modes and two standard traction control modes, a tailored off-road traction control setting, plus the ability to disengage the system entirely. Theres also the ability to disengage the ABS at the rear or at both ends on the 4S, for more control off-road, and at the rear of the 4SM.

Both models channel RM-Z-inspired styling, with the DR-Z4S available in Suzukis trademark off-road yellow as well as dark grey, while the 4SM comes in white and a new blue/grey livery, dubbed Sky Grey.

Spiritual successors to the popular DR-Z400S and DR-Z400SM models of the noughties, the two fresh 400s use a new twin-spar steel frame with a separate, bolt-on aluminium subframe and aluminium swingarm, housing a new 398cc single-cylinder engine. Theres also an electronics package that includes power modes, switchable ABS, and a sophisticated traction control system with off-road modes.

Designed to bring the fun to whatever environment, they promise to make Your World, Your Playground.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Engine

Powering both the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM is a new 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC four-stroke engine. The new engine was designed to meet Euro 5B, while maintaining the reputation of robustness and reliability the engine found in the previous generation DR-Z400 was famed for. It provides a smooth, linear power delivery with stronger torque at lower rpm and increased power output to the rev limit, plus improved fuel economy.

When compared to the previous DR-Z400 engine, there are changes to almost every aspect, from lightweight titanium intake valves and hollow, sodium-filled exhaust valves to new cam profiles and piston. A new cylinder head is equipped with twin spark plugs, there are new crankcases, and a new slipper clutch with Suzukis Clutch Assist System.

Fuelling comes courtesy of a ride-by-wire, 42mm bore, electronic throttle body and a 10-hole fuel injector. Theres a new air box, and a new exhaust. The result is a broader spread of power across the rev range, strong drive yet smooth ride, a direct, linear throttle response, and improved fuel economy.

Peak power is 38PS at 8,000rpm, with a peak torque figure of 37Nm at 6,500rpm. Both achieve over 80mpg.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Electronics

Both models use a package of carefully selected, ride-enhancing electronic aids; the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System.

Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) means riders can choose from one of three power modes. Each mode reaches the same peak power output, with A the most direct, delivering the full amount of low-down torque available from the 398cc single-cylinder engine. Modes B and C are progressively softer, allowing riders to dial back the initial power delivery to suit in slippery or low grip conditions.

There are two standard traction control modes on both, with each also equipped with its own specific G (gravel) mode. G mode aims to maintain maximum off-road performance by allowing a certain amount of wheel spin. G modes level intervention is set slower than for the traction control systems other two standard modes, and the maximum level of intervention is also set lower, too. This provides the right balance between preventing excessive wheel spin on slippery surfaces and minimising power loss on surfaces with traction, making the bike easier to control.

On the DR-4S it focuses on enabling riders to enjoy off-road riding with confidence. It does so by adopting an updated version of the system when compared with the application on the V-Strom 1050DE and V-Strom 800DE, by being effective not only on flat surfaces but also on undulating terrain and inclines. On DR-Z4SM it is tailored more towards flat-dirt surfaces, while allowing a little more slip tolerance than on the V-Strom DEs. Allowing more spin lets the rider better tap into the models supermoto character.

Further enabling greater control off-road is an ABS system that riders can tailor to their needs and riding conditions. On the DR-Z4S riders can disengage the ABS at the rear, or at the front and rear. On the DR-Z4SM, riders can disengage the rear ABS.

Theres also Suzukis easy-start system, which means the engine fires up with one press of the starter button, and theres no need to pull the clutch lever when starting in neutral.

All rider information is displayed via a compact LCD dash.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Chassis

A brand new, twin-spar steel frame was developed for the new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM. It is mated to a new aluminium subframe and an aluminium swingarm. Like the engine, it was designed to build on the previous models reputation for precise, agile handling and easy manoeuvrability. The new chassis is rigid, yet supple, meaning it can absorb impact and bumps on rougher terrain, and reduce rider fatigue.

Long-travel suspension on both the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM comes from KYB, specifically tuned for each models intended application. There is 280mm of front fork travel and 296mm of rear wheel travel on the DR-Z4S, while the DR-Z4SM has 260mm of front suspension travel and 277mm of rear wheel travel. Both have compression and rebound damping adjustment at the front and rear. Theres also preload adjustment on the rear shock.

Wheels are wire-spoked on both. The DR-Z4S is fitted with a 21 front and 18 rear, compared to the 17 rims in the DR-Z4SM. IRC GP-410, dual purpose, tubed tyres are standard on the S, while the SM is shod with Dunlop SPORTMAX Q5A tyres.

There are disc brakes all round, and the tapered aluminium handlebars are equipped with half-waffle grips which distribute pressure across the palms and make the grips easier to hold, aiding control and greatly reducing rider fatigue. Foot pegs are wide and solid, providing sure-footing and a robustness to withstand impacts off-road. Theres also an aluminium under guard as standard.

Ground clearance comes in at a useful 300mm on the DR-Z4S, and 260mm on the DR-Z4SM. Seat heights are 920mm and 890mm and they weigh 151kg and 154kg, respectively.

    
        
        
        
    
    
        Styling

Taking design cues from Suzukis RM-Z range, the new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM are designed to emphasise agile performance with a linear connection from front to rear. The focus was on establishing a bold horizontal line along the sides that cuts right from the front fender through to the tail.

Ergonomics also played a key role in the new design, and the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM are crafted as to not interfere in any way with the rider and their movement.

Lighting all-round is LED, from the single assembly headlight, rear combination lights, and indicators.

The DR-Z4S is available in Suzukis signature off-road Champion Yellow, and Solid Iron Grey, both with black rims. The DR-Z4SM comes in a new blue/grey colour scheme, dubbed Sky Grey, plus a Solid Special White, equipped with blue rims.

The DR-Z decals on each side of the cowling, in front of the engine, are modern and simple. Following the horizontal line along the cowling, these decals feature a colourful gradation below the lettering that reflects the modern image of the DR-Z.

A range of accessories is also available, which includes items such as hand guards, a lower seat, and a rear carrier rack.

        Suzuki GB has confirmed a recall campaign on its V-Strom 800DE, due to a defect with the OE fitment rear tyre. There are 304 affected machines registered in the UK.

Customer safety and satisfaction is Suzuki GBs utmost priority, and owners of affected units will be contacted from today [Friday 26 July] and directed to cease riding activity until replacement tyres have been fitted by an authorised Suzuki dealership.

Owners of affected models still equipped with the OE tyres will be able to have their motorcycle collected by their local Suzuki dealership, which will then fit a pair of replacement tyres and return the motorcycle to the customer, allowing them to continue using their machine.

In instances where owners have already replaced their OE tyres they will be advised to contact Suzuki GB customer services. Suzuki GB will reimburse them for their outlay on tyres and fitting.

Due to the defective rear tyre Suzuki GB is temporarily unable to register any new V-Strom 800DE models. To maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and to reduce the impact on customers, those that have already placed an order for a new machine will be offered a courtesy bike in the interim period, until the recall work has been completed.

In all instances, all appropriate costs will be borne by Suzuki GB.

The V-Strom 1050DE is unaffected.

        2024 marks the 25th anniversary of both the legendary Hayabusa and the cult classic SV650. Both launched in 1999 to do very different jobs, their birthdays will be celebrated at Suzuki Live, which takes place at Cadwell Park on 22-23 June.

Suzuki is inviting owners to bring their bikes along to the event, with dedicated parking and display areas in the paddock reserved for Busas and SVs.

The show-and-shine style display areas will be sponsored by Dunlop, with a free pair of tyres up for grabs for the owners of the best examples on display.

The Hayabusa and SV650 feature areas will form part of a wide range of paddock displays at the event. Suzuki will showcase its current lineup and models from its vintage fleet, there will be a number of Team Classic Suzuki race bikes on display, plus stands from the likes of the Air-Cooled Suzuki Club, the Kettle Club, and the Suzuki Owners Club. Dunlop will have staff on hand to talk tyres and tyre pressures for those riding on circuit, and Furygan will display its latest safety kit.

When the track action stops the evening show begins, with live music from The High Rollers, talk shows featuring VIPs such as John Reynolds, Steve Parrish, and Danny Webb, as well as tech talks from Dunlop and Furygan. Food and drink will be available from a variety of on-site vendors.

Over the two days there will be track sessions for Suzukis old and new, with sessions scheduled for everything from classic RGs and RGVs to modern GSX-Rs and GSX-Ss. There will also be a host of bikes available to test ride on the surrounding Lincolnshire roads, including the new GSX-S1000GX, the GSX-8R, and the V-Strom 800RE, as well as the third generation Hayabusa. Those interested in the latest V-Strom 800DE and V-Strom 1050DE can enjoy off-road test rides in the SR75 Suzuki V-Strom Experience Zone.

Suzuki GB marketing manager Jak Tyrrell commented, Were a little over a month away from Suzuki Live and its set to be the biggest one yet. While there will be plenty of track sessions for those taking part, theres going to be even more to see and do away from the circuit action, starting with the two anniversary display areas.

25 years is a huge milestone for two motorcycling stalwarts: the SV has provided fun, affordable motorcycling for the masses since 1999, has been the first big bike of so many riders, and still fills racing grids at club level. And, still, a quarter of a century later, nothing comes close to a Hayabusa. Its very easy to overuse words like icon or legend, but that is what the Hayabusa is.

On display at the UKs premier adventure bike show for the first time will be the new V-Strom 800RE. Using Suzukis new 776cc parallel twin engine, it follows hot on the heels of the V-Strom 800DE, and comes equipped with three engine modes and three traction control settings, a colour TFT screen, and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

While the 800DE comes with an additional off-road traction control mode and ABS that can be disengaged at the rear, plus 21 and 17 spoked wheels, 220mm of suspension travel, and 220mm ground clearance, the 800RE is tailored to adventure on-road. 150mm suspension travel, a wider, 19 front wheel, radial brakes, and revised ergonomics provide superior road holding and a plush ride for long distances in the saddle. Theres also a taller screen and lower seat height.

Visitors can test ride the new 800RE over the course of the show, as it forms part of Suzukis on road test ride fleet, alongside the 800DE, which can also be taken around the events off-road loop.

Both the V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE will also be on display and available to test ride over the duration of the festival.

In addition to the firms V-Strom range, show-goers can also test ride the new GSX-S1000GX sports crossover, which comes with a comprehensive suite of electronics, topped by semi-active suspension from Showa, the GSX-S1000GT sports tourer, and both the GSX-8S and GSX-8R machines.

Displayed on the Suzuki stand in the exhibitors area will be various V-Strom models, including Tour variants that are equipped with three-piece aluminium luggage as standard. Also shown will be the V-Strom 650XT, and the GSX-S1000GX+ and GSX-S1000GT+, which come fitted with two 36-litre panniers.

Supercross team and off-road bike building specialists, SR75 Suzuki, will display an RM-Z450 race bike, and a project V-Strom 650XT and V-Strom 800DE. Team owner and former racer Geoff Walker will also be hand to talk all things Suzuki and off-road for the full four days.

Representing Suzukis off-road heritage will be a DR800S.

For customers looking for the added carrying capacity the GX+ offers, it represents a saving of 175 over the individual cost of the panniers and fitting. Moreover, including the genuine accessory panniers as part of the standard specification and price means even better value for customers buying on finance, too.

Two colour-coded, 36-litre panniers provide plenty of storage space, with each pannier capable of accepting a full-face helmet.

The panniers represent additional practicality for a machine built with all-day distance and riding comfort in mind. Topping the spec sheet is semi-active suspension from Showa, which has an automatic rear preload setting or three selectable options for solo riding, a rider and pillion, or rider and luggage. Riders can also select from soft, medium, and hard damping settings.

Cruise control features alongside seven traction control settings, encompassed within which is a roll torque control that uses a six-axis IMU to govern available power output when the bike is at lean. The GSX-8S will continue in its striking Cosmic Blue for 2024, but it will be joined by a classy Glass Matt Mechanical Grey, complete with matching wheels, black decals and a black subframe. A Metallic Matt Black version ensures a black iteration remains in the range, though for 2024 its offset by blue wheels, blue subframe, and blue 8S logos.

There will be three colour choices to choose from on the 2024 GSX-S1000GT and the luggage-equipped GSX-S1000GT+. The popular, and trademark Metallic Triton Blue will continue to be available, alongside a standout, all-red version with bronze wheels and subframe. Retaining the bronze wheels and subframe is a new Glass Sparkle Black variant.

Sharing the same 999cc inline four-cylinder engine is the GSX-S1000 super-naked. For 2024 theres an updated Metallic Triton Blue version, with white side panels completed with blue stripes, reminiscent of classic Suzuki liveries of old. A Metallic Matt Sword Silver joins the range, with red side panels and a red seat unit. Theres also a Glass Sparkle Black option.

The GSX-8R uses Suzukis new 776cc parallel twin engine, with its 270 crankshaft providing a V-twin-esque feel and soundtrack. Thanks to its long stroke design it produces an abundance of torque throughout the rev range, peaking at 78 Nm at 6800rpm. Peak power is 82.9PS at 8,500rpm.

While the main chassis is shared with the GSX-8S, suspension comes from Showa, and there are lower handlebars to provide a sportier riding position, with riders tucked behind the new, GSX-R-inspired full fairing.

The anniversary edition, launched to celebrate a quarter of a century of an icon after the first generation Hayabusa changed the game in 1999, comes in a head-turning glass blaze orange and glass sparkle black, and with a list of standout features including: special anniversary logo on the fuel tank and laser-etched into the twin exhaust mufflers, gold-anodised brake disc carriers and drive chain adjusters, raised Suzuki lettering on the fuel tank, a standard-fit single seat cowl in addition to the pillion pad, and new gloss black trim.

Underneath, it packs the same torque-rich, 1340cc inline four-cylinder engine as the current third generation Hayabusa, which produces more cumulative power and torque than any of its predecessors. Thanks to a heavily redesigned engine for 2021  with new pistons, conrods, crankshaft and camshaft  the latest iteration of the Hayabusa is the fastest-launching one yet.

Helping that cause is a comprehensive suite of electronics that features three launch control settings, 10 traction control modes, and three power modes, plus lean-angle sensitive ABS, three levels of engine brake settings, cruise control, hill hold, low RPM assist, and easy-start.

Launched in 1999 the original Hayabusa stunned the motorcycling world and gave birth to the hypersport category. Taking its name from the Japanese for Peregrine falcon  famed for feasting on blackbirds  it delivered unrivalled performance, was immediately recognisable thanks to its now-iconic silhouette, and went on to develop cult status.

The launch of the second generation Hayabusa in 2008 boosted capacity and power, while a mid-term update in 2013 added Brembo monobloc calipers and ABS. The third generation was launched in 2021, after 200,000 units had been sold worldwide.

        Suzuki has launched a new Service Activated Warranty, which extends a motorcycles warranty period after the initial three years through regular servicing at authorised Suzuki dealerships.

The Service Activated Warranty is offered once the motorcycle reaches the end of its manufacturer warranty period of three years, and is booked in for its next scheduled service within the Suzuki Dealer network. This warranty then stays in place until the next qualifying service. It is then simply renewed again, up to a maximum vehicle age of seven years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The Service Activated Warranty is offered to customers completely free of charge.

All major components are covered, and should the machine be sold between services and within the seven-year qualifying period, the warranty will simply be transferred to the new owner.

The Service Activity Warranty can also be enjoyed by owners of secondhand machines, even if any original warranty has expired and if there is a gap in the service history. Providing the new owner has their motorcycle serviced at a Suzuki dealership and goes through a Suzuki Motorcycle Health Check in the first instance, it will benefit from a fresh, one-year warranty.

For these customers, the Service Activated Warranty will begin 30 days from the date the authorised Suzuki Dealer service has been completed.

Final figures for the year saw 781 bikes registered, with the forecast for more than 1,000 units to be sold before the end of March 2023, which would mark 12 months on sale.

The GSX-S1000GT seamlessly blends sports and touring capabilities, with a flexible, torque-laden inline-four cylinder engine producing 152PS peak power and 106Nm of peak torque, making it equally adept at motorway cruising as it is rev chasing on sportier runs.

That sportier performance is also enhanced by a bi-directional quickshifter and slipper clutch, while five traction control settings can be used to dial in the desired level of interference, depending on the road and riding conditions. The same is also true for three selectable power modes, while cruise control makes long distance touring a doddle.

A new steel frame with bolt-on subframe and aluminium swingarm is suspended by fully-adjustable Showa components providing 220mm of travel and ground clearance. That ground clearance also comes courtesy of 21 and 17-inch wire-spoked wheels, front and back, running tubed Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres. Wide aluminium bars and tough steel footpegs are designed to provide greater control when stood up off-road.

The new GSX-8S is born to thrill, offering performance, technology, and style to those that want to work hard, and play harder. Through the combination of an all-new engine, agile chassis, ride-enhancing electronics, and an aggressive design, the GSX-8S is set to raise the middleweight naked bar.

Engine
Powering the all-new GSX-8S is a brand-new engine from the Hamamatsu marque, with a focus on performance befitting of a naked streetfighter. A 270 crank ensures a punchy torque delivery, helping fire the new GSX-8S from corner to corner, while a DOHC design, with four valves per cylinder, means a clean, free-revving nature all the way to the top end. Peak torque is 78Nm at 6800rpm while peak power is 82.9PS at 8500rpm.

A Suzuki Cross Balancer, an innovative new primary balancer design, reduces unwanted vibration, and helps ensure the engines compact nature, which in turn aids freedom of chassis design.

The exhaust system features a short new muffler design, barely rising up and out from the right side of the engine, enhances the bikes compact look and feel and produces an intoxicating rumble.

Chassis
The GSX-8Ss streetfighter character continues with the ergonomics, with wide, tapered aluminium handlebars providing a sporty riding position and plenty of leverage to pitch the GSX-8S effortlessly into turns with speed and confidence.

That confidence also comes from a chassis that features upside down front forks and a rear shock from KYB, and a new aluminium swingarm with a unique shape, is designed to perform with the right amount of vertical, lateral, and torsional rigidity to further enhance the GSX-8Ss flickable nature but also deliver stability and greater ride comfort. Twin 310mm discs up front and a 240mm rear disc provide the stopping power.

These components all fit to a new frame engineered for direct handling characteristics, with a light  and painted  subframe helping keep weight low and aid the design of a sharp seat unit.

Electronics
From the seat  which is designed for comfort and performance  the view is of a five-inch, full-colour TFT screen showcasing a plethora of information including speed, gear, rev counter, clock, riding range, and dual trip computers.

It also shows the current settings the rider has chosen for the various advanced rider aids featured on the new GSX-8S, which includes a three-mode traction control system  which can be turned off  three selectable engine maps, and a bi-directional quickshifter for slick gear changes.

Theres also a ride-by-wire throttle, engineered for a natural feel, Suzukis Easy Start System, and a low rpm assist.

Style
The minimalist bodywork, wrapped around the slim new engine, is angular and futuristic. Other key elements of the bikes style come from its bright, light blue wheels and subframe on two of the three available colour options; a pearl cosmic blue and pearl tech white. Engine

Chassis
Wire spoked wheels come in the form of a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear, shod with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres. Further boosting the new V-Stroms ability to traverse rougher terrain with ease is 220mm of suspension travel, controlled by fully-adjustable hardware from Showa, and 220mm of ground clearance.

A tough steel frame provides the strength needed for negotiating tracks and trails and provides excellent straight-line stability and agile handling. The seat rails are engineered to withstand the impacts and pressures of riding on trails and feature a narrow profile that helps riders better control the bike with their legs.

Further helping riders control the new V-Strom 800DE on and off-road are wide, tapered, aluminium bars and steel  though rubber-covered  footpegs. A long wheelbase aids stability, helped with an aluminium swingarm with a unique shape that enhances vertical, lateral, and torsional rigidity.

Electronics
A ride-by-wire throttle provides a natural feel, and synchronises with a range of electronic features that further enhance the V-Strom 800DEs performance in a range of riding situations.

Like the bigger V-Strom 1050DE, it gets a traction control system with three on-road modes, which provide varying levels of intervention, plus the introduction of a G mode for use off-road. G mode allows more wheelspin, which is suppressed only enough to help prevent excessive slip, so power continues to be delivered to the rear wheel with minimum interruption. As a result, the rider gets the consistent power output they want. More experienced riders can also choose to disengage the traction control entirely for even more direct control.

The V-Strom 800DE also has two ABS settings, providing greater or lesser intervention, plus there is the ability to disengage the rear ABS for improved confidence and control off-road.

Gear changes are slick and uninterrupted thanks to a bi-directional quickshifter, meaning riders dont need to trouble the clutch lever and can keep the throttle open on upshifts, while there is no requirement to blip it on downshifts.

Like all new Suzukis, there is the ever-handy low rpm assist  which raises the idle speed when pulling away or at slow speeds to reduce the risk of stalling  and Suzuki Easy Start System, which requires just one push of the starter button to fire the engine into life.

All of the advanced rider aids are managed via a simple rocker switch on the left handlebar, and displayed  alongside speed, odometer, rev counter, and more  on a five-inch, full-colour TFT dash.

Style
All of the above is wrapped in a style that is both quintessentially V-Strom and modern at the same time. Harking back to Suzukis DR Big and DR-Z heritage is the notable beak design and a hero colour scheme reminiscent of the firms off-road racing exploits of the past. Even the graphics are designed to resemble motocross number boards.

However, the beak is shorter, sharper, and sits higher, highlighting the space between front mudguard and headlight, created thanks to its tall stance and 220mm of suspension travel, and new vertically stacked hexagonal LED headlights are slim, light and compact.

The lines of the body work are sharp with flat surfaces to create a tough look. Bold accents are introduced through the use of moulded colour parts at the tip of the beak, alongside the radiator, and below the large, 20 litre fuel tank. Angled lines set into the knee grip area of the moulded panel below the tank lend yet another subtle accent.

        Engine

The proven Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine sits at the heart of all three machines, though the Burgman Street 125EX uses the latest lpha iteration. The air-cooled, single-cylinder powerplant currently powers over five million Suzukis worldwide, and is the forward-looking engine development concept from Suzuki, which results in an outstanding level of environmentally responsible performance, both in terms of low fuel consumption and low emissions.

All three models achieve an impressive 148.67mpg figure and produce just 44g/km of CO2 emissions. At the same time, they still deliver powerful acceleration, with peak horsepower and maximum torque delivered at low rpm.

For the Avenis 125 and Address 125 this is 8.7PS at 6,750rpm and 10Nm at 5,500rpm. The Burgman Street 125EXs peak power of 8.6PS comes in at 6,500rpm, while peak torque remains the same.

Inspired by traditional scooter design, the Address 125 boasts classic city style, with curves and attractive body lines punctuated by chrome accents, completed with the classic rounded headlight, which is full LED, as are the position lights and integrated indicators. Theres also a tail-mounted cap, finished in chrome, designed to facilitate easy refuelling and ensure there is no risk of spillages on the floorboard or bags.

The classic style also extends to the clocks, with an analogue speedometer sat atop a digital display. Wrapping around the speedometer is a handy eco indicator, which illuminates green when the Address 125 is being ridden in an economical manner, encouraging fuel efficient riding. Starting is easy with one push of the button enough to start the engine, thanks to Suzukis Easy Start System.

21.8 litres of underseat storage give plenty of storage space, plus an upfront storage pocket gives easy access to frequently used items, above which sits a USB charger for smartphones. Dual utility hooks provide extra security for transporting bags or other items. There are also two underseat hooks which can secure helmets when parked, which is made even simpler thanks to centre and side stands coming as standard.

While parked a shutter concealing the ignition key hole provides additional security. To open, an easy-to-operate magnet mechanism is coded to the owners key. It also includes a seat opener that eliminates the need to remove the key to access the underseat utility compartment.

With a ready-to-ride weight of 105kg it is easy to handle and highly manoeuvrable. The Address underbone frame is built using large-diameter, thin, round tubes, designed to minimise weight while maximising rigidity and also to provide excellent straight-line stability and positive cornering performance.

Stopping power comes from a 190mm diameter disc brake in the front and a 120mm drum brake in the rear, while a combined braking system ensures a stable braking performance by distributing force to both the front and rear wheels when the left brake lever is operated.

The Address 125 rides on a short wheelbase that contributes to ease of manoeuvrability and works in conjunction with the light, slim design to offer easier, more agile handling. Providing sporty city fun, the Avenis 125 aims to balance performance, style, and practicality; sharp, aggressive looks complement edgy, and dynamic lines, with an upswept tail section and stylish front cowling with floating meter visor. Lighting comes from an aggressive, stacked-lens body-mounted LED headlight, plus vertically-oriented LED position lights add a striking accent to the face.

Distinctive graphics on the sides of the front cowl highlight the scooters aggressive attitude, and black metallic-finish emblems add a sophisticated touch.

A sporty two-tone seat with attractive red stitching is firm yet comfortable, with ample padding and a richly textured surface that provides a secure grip when riding. In addition, its carefully crafted shape makes it easy for the rider to put both feet on the ground when stopped, along with cutaway footboards.

A digital instrument panel for the Avenis 125 features a compact LCD screen with a clean and intuitive layout, and it also gets a handy eco indicator light to highlight fuel efficient operation by the rider.

The chassis comprises an underbone frame that contributes to the Avenis 125s fuel efficiency, excellent straight-line stability, and positive cornering performance. As well as a short wheelbase and semi-soft front suspension settings that provide a smooth and comfortable ride, along with a rear shock that is finely tuned to deliver solid road-holding performance, and agile handling.

Similar to the Address 125, Suzukis Combined Brake System supports well-balanced braking by distributing braking force to both the front and rear wheels when the left brake lever is operated. Hardware features a 190mm diameter disc brake at the front and a 120mm drum brake at the rear.

Practicality comes from 21.5 litres of underseat storage  with two helmet hooks  dual utility hooks for carrying extra items, an open upfront pocket and one shutable compartment housing a USB charging port. Like the Address 125, a shutter concealing the ignition key hole can be opened quickly, using an easy-to-operate magnet mechanism coded to the owners key.         Burgman Street 125EX

The Burgman Street 125EX is the smart city commuter, tailored to excel and brings a new level of elegant style and performance. It stands out with its fusion of class, style, performance, comfort, practicality, and convenience.

Comfort is taken care of with a long, well-padded seat. Generously proportioned floorboards allow flexibility in foot positioning to maintain a comfortable riding position, while extended footboards up front let the rider extend their legs for greater comfort when cruising.

Like the Avenis, there are 21.5 litres of underseat storage and two helmet hooks, plus two utility hooks for carrying extra items. It also features a closable front compartment with a USB charging port and an additional easy access front storage compartment, next to which is the ignition key slot which can be covered using a magnet mechanism coded to the owners key.

A longer wheelbase provides impeccable great straight line stability and gives a solid, planted feel and comfortable ride. A firmer suspension setup for the front suspension helps achieve a smooth ride quality, with the spring rate and operation of the front forks optimised for the front wheel weight distribution. Settings for both the forks and rear suspension are finely tuned to the tyres and wheels to achieve a fine balance of stability, road-holding performance, agile handling, and a comfortable ride, even when passing over uneven surfaces.

With a longer wheelbase, strong braking performance is maintained thanks to a larger diameter drum brake, at 130mm. It also gets a combined brake system to modulate braking force between the front and rear wheels when using the left brake lever.

    <description>After indicating earlier this month that a new GSX-S1000 was on the way, Suzuki has now released details of the 2021 naked, which comes with:

A completely new look, with sharp, aggressive new bodywork and futuristic LED lighting design.
An updated, Euro 5 compliant 152PS inline four-cylinder engine with a fatter and flatter torque curve, providing a broader spread of power in the low and midrange.
New electronics, including a quickshifter and auto-blipper, selectable engine maps and more levels of traction control.
A larger fuel tank and new, wider set handlebars.

Styling

Immediately obvious is the new GSX-S1000s redesigned aesthetic; the bodywork and lighting is completely new, with a focus on sharp, angular, aggressive lines and a powerful stance, with a mass forward demeanour.

Available in Suzukis traditional metallic triton blue, a new mechanical matt grey, and a stealthy gloss black, its streetfighter looks are enhanced with textured radiator shrouds, MotoGP-inspired winglets, and side panels that feature an urban camo-inspired design.

Arguably the most striking visual change is the new, vertically stacked LED headlight. As well as the practical benefits of a new mono-focus LED light source that displays a wide, bright light, the new design of two stacked hexagonal units topped by LED position lights creates a look that is lighter and tighter, and aids the desire for a more aggressive pose. Theres a new LED tail light, too, with both flanked by LED indicators.

Engine

The inline four-cylinder engine in the 2021 GSX-S1000 produces more power and a broader spread of torque in the lower rev ranges to deliver ideal naked sports bike performance. Changes include a new intake and exhaust camshaft, new valve springs, new clutch, and a new exhaust.

Compared to its predecessor, the new GSX-S1000 makes more cumulative torque across the rev range, filling in the dips in the graph with a flatter curve. It revs on to provide increased top end power, too, with peak power 152PS at 11,000rpm.

Thankfully, a new exhaust retains the soundtrack the outgoing model was known for, while aiding in the increase in power and the meeting of Euro 5 emissions requirements with an additional catalytic converter.

New electronic throttle bodies help achieve a more controllable engine response during the initial throttle opening. A new airbox manages to do without an internal separator, reducing intake resistance.

Reduced valve overlap also helps the new GSX-S1000 meet Euro 5 emissions standards, thanks to new a camshaft and revised cam profiles. The changes also aid engine controllability for the rider.

Added controllability and increased performance also comes thanks to Suzukis Clutch Assist System. The slipper clutch partially disengages to reduce negative engine torque and mitigate the effect of engine braking when downshifting from high rpm. This helps prevent the rear wheel from locking up or hopping and provides smoother deceleration, enabling the rider to shift down with greater confidence and maintain better control when downshifting into corners.

Adding an assist function increases the clutchs clamping force under acceleration and thereby allows the use of softer springs while still efficiently transferring torque to the rear wheel, resulting in a lighter lever operation.

Electronics

An advancement over the previous GSX-S1000 comes with an updated suite of electronics, courtesy of Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS).

A new ride-by-wire throttle makes it possible for riders to more accurately and finely control the relationship between throttle actuation and engine response, especially when allied to the new Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) system, with which the new GSX-S1000 is equipped.

SDMS allows riders to choose from one of three engine maps, depending on the riding conditions or their own personal preferences. Modes A-C all deliver the same peak power, but vary the sharpness and immediacy of the delivery, with A mode the sportiest, and C mode delivering the softest power delivery.

Performance is enhanced thanks to a bi-directional quickshifter, which reduces the need to operate the clutch during gear changes or close the throttle on upshifts, or blip it on downshifts.

A new traction control system comprises five modes, while it can also be switched off. Inputs from front and rear wheel speed sensors, and crank, gear, and throttle position sensors feed into the ECU which in turn controls the throttle valve opening, ignition timing, and fuel injection rate, to reduce or prevent wheel spin.

All the information is displayed on an updated and easy-to-read LCD dash.

Topping off the electronics package is Suzukis always-handy easy start system  which requires only one prod of the starter button to fire the engine  and low RPM assist, which raises engine speed as the clutch lever is fed out, to aid slow speed control and prevent stalling.

Chassis

The twin-spar aluminium chassis is mated to a rigid, GSX-R-derived swingarm for agile, sporty performance and handling. New, 23mm wider, tapered bars help riders pitch the bike into turns with greater leverage. They are also set 20mm closer to the rider to improve comfort without compromising handling.

Suspension comes in the form of fully-adjustable KYB front forks and a preload and rebound damping adjustable rear shock, with revised settings from the previous iteration. 310mm front discs are paired with Brembo monobloc calipers.

A larger, 19 litre fuel tank and 46.3mpg equates to a tank range of 194 miles. Those miles can be undertaken in greater comfort thanks to a new seat.

Tyres are custom-engineered Roadsport 2 from Dunlop.

Pricing and availability

The new GSX-S1000 will be available in Suzuki dealerships from the end of June, with an RRP of 10,999.

Launched last year, the range-topping V-Strom 1050XT  which comes complete with three selectable engine maps, traction control with three modes, lean angle-sensitive ABS with two modes, linked brakes with slope and load-dependent control and hill hold, plus cruise control  remains available in the popular orange and white, DR750-inspired livery, but for 2021 it is joined by a classy, steely grey with blue decals and blue and grey seat, completed by blue spoked wheels.

An updated yellow option also features, unashamedly influenced by the firms RM-Z motocross range, with a black tank and gold rims. Gold rims also feature on an otherwise all black version, bar subtle grey and gold decals.

The V-Strom 1050  which uses the same 107PS V-twin engine and many of the same electronics features as the XT but swaps the spokes for cast aluminium wheels and loses the standard fit engine bars and hand guards to come in at 9,999  is available in a bold red and black livery.

The new-for-2021 colours on the V-Strom 1050XT also apply to the Tour edition, which adds black three piece aluminium luggage as standard with 112 litres of storage space. With an RRP of 12,799 it equates to a saving of 370 over the purchase of the individual items.

    <description>Suzuki has announced details of a new A2 licence-friendly GSX-S950, which is available from August and features the ability to be restricted to 35kW to comply with A2 licence regulations. The GSX-S950 will represent a new proposition in the market, providing a big bike experience at a restricted output for new riders, before becoming an ideal stepping stone to more powerful machines once derestricted.

Based on the GSX-S1000 platform  and using the same torque-laden inline-four cylinder engine  the GSX-S950 produces 95PS in standard trim, with restrictor kits readily available to ensure it conforms to the A2 licence category. However, despite a reduced peak power compared to its GSX-S1000 sibling, the 950 still makes use of the donor engines creamy midrange to produce 92 Nm of peak torque, with the same slip and assist clutch aiding smoother downshifts and slicker upshifts under hard acceleration.

The motor is also wrapped in the same twin-spar aluminium frame and uses the same superbike-derived swingarm and rear shock, but to help achieve a lower RRP  and therefore making it an even more accessible package  it uses 43mm KYB front forks. Other chassis changes include the use of Tokico front brake calipers and straight bars, while the bespoke Dunlop Roadsport 2 tyres, 19-litre fuel tank, and new seat remain.

An electronics package comprises a three-mode traction control system that adds a safety net, while convenience comes from Suzukis low RPM assist feature and easy start function. The ride-by-wire throttle from the GSX-S1000 is carried over.

Bodywork replicates the new, aggressive, and angular styling of the GSX-S1000, with the same stacked LED headlights front and centre. The taillight is also full LED.

Available in August, the GSX-S950 comes in a striking white and red, a matt black, plus a metallic triton blue, all adorned with the visually different 950 logo on the radiator shrouds.

    <description>Suzuki has announced details of an updated Burgman 400, with the now Euro 5 compliant version of the original maxi-scooter boasting traction control, Suzukis Easy Start System, and updated instrument cluster, plus changes to its 400cc single-cylinder engine including a new twin-plug cylinder head, piston, and injectors.

Launched in 1998, the Burgman 400 carved out a new market for large displacement scooters, combining comfort, power, style, and practicality. Updated for the 2006 and 2018 model years, the latest iteration further improves on the proven and solid platform.

A revised engine produces well balanced low-midrange torque with improved throttle control, courtesy of a number of changes.

A new twin-plug cylinder head  with simultaneous ignition timing  provides strong power delivery, increases combustion efficiency, and aids fuel consumption. As an added bonus, adjusted ignition timing also results in easier engine startup and a more stable idle. The change additionally contributes to high combustion speed and reduces the possibility of engine knocking in the upper speed range. Consequently, ignition timing can be set to a timing at which power is produced more easily, thereby increasing top speed. A new secondary air pathway helps meet Euro 5 emissions standards.

There are revised cam profiles, and the injectors have changed from 16-hole to 10-hole injectors, resulting in more miniscule fuel droplets and increased air agitation, improving fuel consumption. A new catalytic converter increases the number of catalysts from one to two, further purifying exhaust gases.

One of the biggest changes to the updated Burgman 400 comes in the form of a traction control system, which benefits riding in slippery conditions and pulling away briskly from a complete stop. Meanwhile stopping is helped with a new ABS unit, which is also 36g lighter than the previous unit.

Practicality is maintained through 42 litres of underseat storage, plus an additional 6.3 litres of storage thanks to compartments upfront, the right hand side of which also houses a 12V socket for charging electronic devices.

The addition of Suzukis Easy Start System requires just one brush of the starter button to fire the engine, removing the need to hold the button down.

Cutaway footboards make it easier to get feet flat on the floor, and a plush seat with adjustable lumbar support makes for a comfortable ride. LED running lights, headlights, and taillights provide excellent nighttime visibility, while also enhancing the maxi-scooters stylish design.

Security features come in the form of Suzukis Advanced Immobiliser System (SAIS) and a magnetic cover that protects the ignition barrel and opens only for the owners key. A chain gate allows the rider to pass a chain lock through the bodywork, around the frame, and then around a pole or other immovable object.

The updated Burgman 400 will be available from authorised Suzuki dealerships in the summer, and will come in matte silver, matte black, and iron grey, all complete with blue rims.
