POWERFUL V-TWIN ENGINE

The new V-Strom 1050DE is powered by the latest iteration of Suzuki’s distinctive, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90° V-Twin DOHC engine. The product of many years of development by a dedicated team of passionate engineers, this engine has long-enjoyed a reputation for delivering enjoyable character, power, reliability, and a great sound-track for your next adventure.

PURPOSEFUL WHEELS AND TYRES

The V-Strom 1050DE takes advantage of wire-spoked wheels with aluminium rims to better endure the potential pounding when exploring trails and other rough surfaces. It also adopts a larger 21-inch front rim for greater stability and better control on gravel and flat dirt. Both wheels are shod with Dunlop TRAILMAX MIXTOUR tyres, which feature a semi-block tread pattern and custom-designed internal structure that delivers the solid traction and performance you want when exploring varied terrain and trails.

6 AXIS IMU & MOTION TRACK BRAKE SYSTEM

Vehicle posture data from the 6 axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is combined with front and rear wheel speed sensor data to allow ABS activation, even when leaning into corners. This helps maintain traction and lean angle so you can better trace your intended line through the corner. Integrating accelerometers and gyroscopes into a single compact package, the 6 axis Bosch IMU measures angular rate and acceleration to constantly monitor pitch, roll, and yaw movement.

What are the differences between HP and PCP?

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)

Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) can help you to buy a bike with lower monthly repayments than a hire purchase product as a large proportion of the amount you repay is deferred into an optional final repayment. You will pay more interest on a PCP agreement than a HP agreement for the same loan amount, term and APR as your balance reduces more slowly due to the optional final repayment.

You will decide an initial deposit, term and how many miles you'll travel each year. Monthly repayments will then be calculated along with the optional final repayment amount, based on the anticipated value of the vehicle at the end of the agreement.
At the end of the agreement, you can part exchange the bike (subject to affordability), return the bike (return conditions apply) or pay the optional final repayment and own the bike.

Hire Purchase (HP)

Hire Purchase (HP) is a finance plan that allows you to spread the cost of the bike by making monthly payments over an agreed term. You make higher monthly payments than a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) agreement, so that when you come to the end of the agreement and made all the repayments including any interest, you’ll own the bike.
